Families

You shouldn't have to explain your child every time you walk into a room.

Raising a child with a disability can feel like the loneliest thing in the world — especially when nobody around you truly understands what your daily life looks like. You deserve a community that already gets it — where you can just be a family.

Certain Hope creates free outdoor and community events specifically for families raising children with disabilities in Grand Rapids. No cost to attend. No judgment. No explanation required. Just people who understand — because they live it too.

Real families. Real stories.

Wonderful time hanging out with this group over the past several years. The organization is very welcoming and friendly. The other parents are wonderful and helpful. My son usually has fun and appreciative of being just one of the group members.

5 is not enough stars for what these folks do for the families in the area with a member with a disability. We've found friends and community that we needed so much through them.

Enjoy the friendly, organized events . Enjoy talking to other people/parents about the children.

Literally love this organization.

Your child makes real friends. You find other parents who get it without a single explanation. Hope starts to come alive again — and you realize you never had to carry this alone.
